MESSAGE FROM FOUNDERS

We are pleased to share the work of YCH Uganda in this site. The work that YCH has been able to do since its inception in 2004 has brought great satisfaction to both the target beneficiaries and the YCH team.

YCH is a local Community Based Organisation (CBO) that continues to strive to actively promote the productivity, innovativeness and self-reliance of disadvantaged People. YCH continues to work in alliance with others to of empower youth, Children and women, economically and socially.

Within the communities in which we work, YCH is particularly sensitive to the needs of youth, children, women, HIV/AIDS infected and affected people, and other vulnerable groups. YCH believes that people have a right to a just and equal society and we are committed to making that right a reality for the marginalised people.

However, despite the achievements, poverty alleviation, skills training, capacity building, primary health care, and HIV/AIDS remain major challenges within many communities, especially among young people, who constitute about 70% of the Ugandan population. YCH will therefore continue to focus on the underserved communities, especially the young people.
